Paint can chip, gets slippery with sweat, and doesn't hold chalk. The powder coating has a slightly textured surface that holds chalk and glides controlled through your hand during swinging movements.

Can I use the kettlebell without chalk?

Yes, the surface provides good grip even without chalk. For longer training or many reps, we recommend chalk for optimal grip.

Why does the size vary with weight?

Unlike Competition Kettlebells, more material means more weight here. For WODs and general training, this doesn't matter. In kettlebell sport, uniform size is more important.

What weight to start with?

Women often start with 8–12 kg, men with 12–16 kg for swings and simple movements. For Turkish get-ups, we recommend starting lighter and building clean technique.

Can I drop the kettlebell?

Cast iron is robust, but not designed for dropping like bumper plates. Set the kettlebell down controlled. Good flooring or floor protection mats protect equipment and surface.

How do I maintain the kettlebell?

Remove chalk residue with a brush, wipe with a damp cloth if needed. The powder coating is easy to maintain and durable.
