Dropping Mats
that turn every area into a drop zone.
That's why dropping outside the drop zone is not a good idea
The boom in functional training is leading to CrossFit boxes and cross-training gyms springing up like mushrooms all over the country. Thanks to high-quality equipment and an attractively designed environment, every workout is a pleasure. Unfortunately, many gym owners overlook one crucial detail: They forget the enormous vibrations caused by dropping weights during maximum intensity training. This is problematic for several reasons. If, for example, an 80-kilogram dumbbell falls to the floor from waist height, enormous forces are exerted that can definitively damage an unprepared floor covering. Trouble with the landlord is inevitable, because neither parquet nor tiles can withstand the impact. Even those who train in a home gym are all too likely to forget this aspect and risk problems and expensive repairs. Noise and vibrations cause annoyance
But even if the floor isn't damaged, dropping in unintended areas is generally not a good idea. After all, every drop is accompanied by a massive bang and violent vibrations. Anyone who has ever trained at maximum intensity in a box and felt the thunder of the weights from the other end of the box in their own legs knows this. Dropping is especially annoying, however, if the box or home gym isn't located in the basement. Who wants to live under a box and constantly think that the ceiling is about to collapse on their head? Vibrations make things particularly difficult for gym operators, as they can't be assessed without a practical test beforehand. No dropping is not a solution either
For the reasons mentioned above, dropping weights is prohibited. While this is understandable from the perspective of box operators, given the potential for trouble with neighbors and landlords, it has several drawbacks. Experienced athletes know that dropping weights is essential during particularly intense workouts to squeeze maximum performance out of the body. If dropping isn't possible, training progress is hampered, as training with neither the highest possible training weight nor maximum intensity is possible.Even worse, the lack of an option to quickly relieve tension on ligaments, tendons, and joints actually increases the risk of injury. All of this leads to frustration among athletes and ultimately jeopardizes the continued existence of the boxing arena. In desperation, many boxing are attempting to create their own drop zones, adding drop zones after the fact. The results are usually poor and wasteful, costing enormous sums of money. This situation, which is completely unacceptable for all parties, doesn't have to be the case – thanks to mobile dropping mats.
Dropping Mats - The mobile drop zone for every challenge
Dropping weights is as much a part of CrossFit as it is of Olympic weightlifting. So what if there was a cost-effective way to turn any area of your boxing gym or home gym into a drop zone? There is! Made from high-quality nylon and high-performance foam, these dropping mats make effortless training at the highest possible intensity for maximum success possible, even where this wasn't possible before. The high-performance material of the 90 x 55 x 27 centimeter Dropping Mats ensures that the enormous force of the impact is completely absorbed by the mat without any contact with the floor. This even applies when dropping weights of up to 250 kilograms from a height of one and a half meters. Thanks to the robust material and excellent pressure distribution, vibrations and damage to the flooring are now a thing of the past. The Dropping Mats also reduce noise to almost zero.
Despite their enormous robustness, which gives the Dropping Mats outstanding shape stability even over many years of training, they are truly lightweight, weighing just 7 kilograms. This means that the Dropping Mats can not only be conveniently stacked and stored in small spaces, but can also be used flexibly exactly where they are needed – time and time again.
