Description

When you can't bolt your rack down

Rented flat, underfloor heating, freshly laid parquet, rubber flooring, a wall that won't take the load – there are plenty of reasons why a rack can't be fixed to the floor or the wall. Sometimes you simply want to keep it movable. That's exactly what the Extended Foot is for: the two feet bolt onto the front of your rack base and extend the footprint forwards. The tipping edge sits further out – so it takes considerably more force to pull the rack off balance towards the front. You feel that exactly where the tipping force comes from: kipping pull-ups, muscle-ups or toes-to-bar. Short power racks benefit most because they lack the depth for that leverage.

Built for the A-Line system

The Extended Foot is made for our A-Line power racks, rigs and squat stands – 75 x 75 mm profile, 17 mm holes, 5 cm hole spacing. The shape is designed so the feet stay out of your way: you train exactly as before, squats and rack work included. Steel, powder-coated black, so it matches the rest of your setup. The bolts come with it, all you need is an Allen key. Delivered as a pair – two pieces.

Bolting down remains the most stable solution – if you're allowed to, do that. If you can't, because you're renting, there's underfloor heating or the wall won't take it, the Extended Foot is your answer. It gives you considerably more stability towards the front, without a single hole.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need the Extended Foot?
Whenever you can't or aren't allowed to fix your rack to the floor or the wall – rented property, underfloor heating, freshly laid flooring, rubber flooring, or when you want the rack to stay movable. It makes tipping forwards considerably harder. If your rack is bolted down anyway, you don't need it.
How much load does the Extended Foot take?
It isn't a mounting point like a J-hook or a safety arm – you don't rest any weight on it, which is why there's no load rating for it. Its job is a different one: it extends the footprint forwards and moves the tipping edge with it. Made from powder-coated steel, built for daily use in the box or the home gym.
Does it replace floor anchoring?
Not entirely. Bolting down remains the most stable solution – if you're allowed to, you should. The Extended Foot is the route for everyone who can't or isn't allowed to drill, and it gives you considerably more stability towards the front.
Does the Extended Foot fit my rack?
It fits all A-Line power racks, rigs and squat stands with a 75 x 75 mm profile and 17 mm holes. For a single rack one pair is usually enough; on longer rigs it depends on the number of uprights – drop us a line and we'll look at your setup together. For Swiss Line racks take the counterpart: Swiss Line Extended Foot (Pair).
Does it get in the way during training?
No. The feet are shaped so they stay clear of you. Squats, pull-ups, rack work – everything works exactly as before.
Can I fit it later on?
Yes, any time. The foot goes onto the front of the rack base without changing anything on the rack itself. Bolts are included, an Allen key is all you need.

Customer reviews

Not everyone is allowed to bolt their rack into the floor – rented flat, underfloor heating, there are a thousand reasons. If you're allowed to drill, drill – that's still the most stable solution. For everyone else, the Extended Foot is the most honest answer we have.
