Climbing rope - our sisal fiber powerhouse
Most of us only know climbing ropes from gymnastics lessons at school. Until almost 100 years ago, climbing on the rope was even an Olympic discipline. Since then, rope climbing has become quiet. Only in CrossFit sport does the climbing rope fight for new glamor in competitions like the CrossFit Games. No wonder that high-quality climbing ropes are standard in every CrossFit box. But ropes for building strength and strength endurance are also highly valued in judo, climbing or bouldering training.
Our climbing ropes made of robust sisal fiber
If you want to go high during the climbing workout and want to beat your best time, you need a long and robust rope that offers sufficient hold. Climbing rope has a length of six meters and is therefore also suitable for high rooms. The climbing rope is attached to a rig using ceiling hooks or heavy duty carabiners. The screw connection at the end of the rope ensures maximum stability and safety. Thanks to the diameter of 1.5 inches, the rope is easy to grip for both large and small hands. In addition, the special properties of the sisal fibers, which are considered to be particularly hard-wearing, come into play.
Training on the climbing rope offers these advantages
- Highly functional whole body training that involves a large part of the skeletal muscles in the movement sequences.
- Due to the high degree of activation, the training burns many calories and improves the general endurance and strength endurance.
- Rope climbing promotes intra- and intermuscular coordination.
- Climbing on the rope promotes the development of massive grip strength and the development of the forearm muscles, which is also beneficial for other disciplines.
- Climbing exercises on the rope train balance skills and coordination.
- Compared to other exercises, rope climbing is easy on the joints.
Before you can start
Rope climbing requires preparation, because when in doubt it goes high. Before you start climbing the rope as quickly as possible, grip strength training is on the plan to ensure your own safety. To do this, you can jump on the rope first and stay there as long as possible. Experiment with different grip heights. Pull-ups are also an excellent preparation to strengthen grip strength for rope climbing. To simulate the nature of a rope, you can put a thin towel around it. -
