Cable machines: even resistance, countless exercises
A cable machine gives you resistance through the entire movement, not just at the hardest point. That's easier on the joints, allows clean isolation work and covers countless exercises – from lat pulldowns and rows to curls. The key is the handles: whether lat bar, rope or single grip – each swap opens up new angles and exercises.
Our A-Line stations run on precise bearings and adjustable weight stacks – from a compact single pulley for the wall to a dual-pulley station with two separate cables. You choose what fits your space and training.
Which cable machine fits you?
Tight on space? A wall pulley or a compact cable station brings lat pulldowns and rows to a minimal footprint. Want to stand free and pull from both sides? A cable tower or dual-pulley station is the choice – two independent cables for crossovers, chest flys and everything in between.
Training your back specifically? A dedicated lat/row station is more efficient than an all-rounder. We tell you honestly which cable setup fits your training – and which you can skip.
Runs smoothly, lasts long
A cable machine lives and dies by its mechanics. That's why we rely on smooth-running pulleys and bearings, cleanly guided cables and weight stacks that hold up to daily studio use. No juddering, no snagging – the pull feels the same on every rep.
And because your training changes, our racks and stations are modular – attachments, handles and bars can be added. Your setup grows with you.
Frequently asked questions about cable machines
What is a cable machine?
A cable machine – also called a cable pulley – is a piece of equipment where you pull on a weight stack via a cable and pulleys. The resistance stays even through the whole movement, allowing joint-friendly, controlled training – from lat pulldowns to cable isolation.
Single cable machine or cable crossover – what's the difference?
A single cable machine gives you one pulley – think lat pulldown or seated row. A cable crossover or dual-pulley station has two independent pulleys for two-sided and cross-body movements like flys and crossovers. Both work over cable and pulley; the difference is how many stations and how much freedom of movement you get.
What can you train on a cable machine?
Practically your whole body: lat pulldowns and rows for the back, chest flys and crossovers for the chest, biceps curls, triceps pushdowns and face pulls for arms and shoulders. With the right handles and bars you cover almost every pulling exercise.
How much space does a cable station need?
It depends on the type. A wall pulley needs just a few centimetres of depth. A free-standing cable tower or dual-pulley station needs more floor space and, above all, ceiling height – plan enough room to pull freely from both sides.
Cable tower, wall pulley or dual pulley – which fits?
With proper care and maintenance, our furniture can last a lifetime and even be passed down through generations. To preserve the beauty and durability of your furniture, we recommend:
- Regular cleaning with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can damage the surface.
- Protect the furniture from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent fading and cracking.
- Use coasters and placemats to protect surfaces from scratches and moisture.
In our care instructions, which you receive with your delivery, you will find detailed information and tips tailored to your specific piece of furniture.
Can I add a cable machine to a rack?
Yes. Many of our cable machines attach to a power rack or all-in-one station – so you get a rack and cable in one setup without adding a second machine.
What does a cable machine cost?
The range is wide depending on the build: compact wall pulleys from around CHF 900, dedicated lat/row stations from about CHF 1,650, large dual-pulley stations and cable towers accordingly higher. What matters is which cable setup fits your training.
