Description

Your steel spotter

The HG Safety Arms catch the bar when you can't complete a rep on bench press or squats. No spotter needed, no risk. The 3 mm steel tube sits on a 5 mm diagonal brace that supports the arm out to 52 cm – only the last 8 cm cantilever freely. That is calculated for 1000 kg per pair, so 500 kg per arm. You can focus fully on your training without compromising on safety.

Quick setup, secure lock

The holes on the arms are numbered. This means: You set both sides symmetrically in seconds, without counting or guessing. Once you've found the right height, just remember the number – done. Next time you're ready in under a minute. The arms fit all A-Line Racks with 75x75mm profile and 17mm holes.

On load capacity there's nothing between them – 1000 kg per pair either way. It comes down to your setup. Rig or single uprights? Then the Safety Arms – they work with just one or two attachment points and give you a rigid steel stop. Rack with front and back uprights, and you want it quiet? Then the HG Safety Straps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the Safety Arms fit my rack?
The HG Safety Arms fit A-Line Racks with 75x75mm profile and 17mm holes in 5cm spacing. For a different rack: check the measurements or contact us.
How much weight can the Safety Arms handle?
1000 kg as a pair, so 500 kg per arm. That's our calculated rating based on the engineering drawing, not a certified load test – but with plenty of headroom: on paper the arm tube holds a multiple of that. Your rack sets the limit long before the arm does.
What's the difference to Safety Straps?
Not the load rating – both sit at 1000 kg per pair. The Arms are steel and give you a rigid stop: loud on contact, but absolutely fixed. The Straps catch soft and quiet. The bigger difference is mounting: Straps need a rack with front and back uprights, while the Arms work with one or two attachment points and therefore fit a rig too.
Do I need Safety Arms if I have Safety Straps?
Not necessarily. If your rack has front and back uprights and the Straps sit well, you're covered. On a rig or single uprights, the Arms are your only option.
Can I quickly adjust the height?
Yes. The numbering on the holes helps you set both sides quickly and symmetrically. Once you've memorized the number, you're ready in seconds next time.
How heavy are the Safety Arms?
22 kg for the pair. The weight is part of the massive construction – once mounted, everything stays in place.

Customer reviews

Safety Arms are mandatory for us. I often train alone, and when I go to failure on squats or bench, I want to know something catches me. These have taken a beating already – zero problems.
