Description

Soft plyobox with three standard heights – safe box jump learning

Box jumps are a staple in functional training and CrossFit – but the fear of scraping shins holds many athletes back. The Soft 3in1 Plyobox takes that fear away. It's built from foam with a vinyl cover – the softest variant in the plyobox family and therefore the most shin-friendly choice for beginners. With the three international standard heights of 50 cm (20"), 60 cm (24") and 76 cm (30") in one box, you cover beginner to competition level – flip it over, change height, keep training. Ideal for beginners learning box jumps, WOD classes with mixed levels, athletes returning from injury, or anyone wanting to drop the mental barrier to high jumps. Box jumps, step-ups, box jump overs, burpee box jump overs – everything works on the Soft Plyobox.

27 kg machine weight and vinyl cover for beginner training

At 27 kg, the Soft 3in1 Plyobox sits stable for typical beginner and intro training. It ships pre-assembled – unbox, place, train, no assembly, no tools. The robust vinyl cover is abrasion-resistant and sweat-proof, wipes clean with a damp cloth. Important: the Soft 3in1 Plyobox is the softest variant in the family. It's stable enough for beginner training, classic box jumps and rehab work. For intense Box workouts with explosive rebound jumps or dynamic movements under full load, the Soft 3in1 Plyobox with wood core (SFTPLY-WOD) or a pure wood plyobox is the more stable option – both are sturdier due to their wood build.

The Soft 3in1 Plyobox (SFTPLY) is the most shin-friendly variant: foam build, thick vinyl cover, perfect for beginners and rehab use. For more stability in intense Box workouts with experienced athletes, the Soft 3in1 Plyobox with wood core (SFTPLY-WOD) is the next step up – plywood core with thin foam cover. Pure wood boxes are the most stable and lowest priced, but come with shin risk on misjumps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Soft 3in1 Plyobox for?
For beginners learning box jumps, CrossFit beginner classes, rehab and return-to-training after injury, and any athlete wanting to drop the mental barrier to high jumps. The foam build with vinyl cover drastically reduces injury risk on misjumps.
How stable is the box?
Solid for beginner training. At 27 kg, it sits securely for classic box jumps, step-ups, burpee box jump overs and rehab work. It's the softest variant in the plyobox family – for intense Box workouts with explosive rebound jumps and maximum load, the Soft 3in1 Plyobox with wood core (SFTPLY-WOD) or a pure wood plyobox is the more stable option.
What's the difference to the Soft 3in1 Plyobox with wood core (SFTPLY-WOD)?
The Soft 3in1 (SFTPLY) has a foam core with vinyl cover – maximum shin protection, softest variant, 27 kg. The Soft 3in1 with wood core (SFTPLY-WOD) has a plywood core with thin foam cover – more stable, closer to a classic wood plyobox, 22 kg. Both offer the same 3-in-1 height function. For beginners and rehab: SFTPLY. For Box use with experienced athletes and intense load: SFTPLY-WOD.
Can I use the box for all plyo exercises?
Yes, with limits. Box jumps in all three heights, step-ups single- or double-leg, box jump overs, burpee box jump overs, box push-ups, Bulgarian split squats with rear foot on the box all work. For very explosive rebound jumps with max load, the wood-core variants are more stable.
How do I maintain the vinyl cover?
Wipe with a damp cloth. The cover is abrasion-resistant and sweat-proof. Chalk marks and sweat residue come off easily. For deep cleaning, use a mild detergent with a damp cloth – no aggressive solvents.
Do I need multiple boxes for different heights?
No. The 3in1 construction offers three international standard heights (50, 60, 76 cm) in one box. Flip it over, new side up, keep training – no extra equipment, no switching between boxes.
Is the box suitable for outdoor training?
Conditionally. The vinyl cover is sweat-proof but not built for prolonged outdoor weather. Short outdoor sessions are fine; permanent storage in a garden or terrace is not recommended.

Customer reviews

The Soft 3in1 Plyobox is our pick for anyone starting with box jumps or training beginners. It arrives pre-assembled, is the most shin-friendly variant in the family thanks to its foam build, and sits stable at 27 kg. In our Box we use it specifically for beginner classes and rehab sessions. For more intense Box use with experienced athletes and dynamic movements, the wood-core variant (SFTPLY-WOD) is more stable – it comes with a plywood core and just a thin foam cover. For entry-level training, this one is perfect.
