What is Plyometric Training?
Plyometric training (Plyo training for short) is an effective way to train the speed and bounce. The principle is based on the "strain-shortening cycle". This divides the movement during training into an eccentric phase (stretching), a concentric phase (contraction) and the intermediate amortization phase (pause).
The goal of plyo training is to keep the break as low as possible. In practice this means that all plyo exercises on the Plyobox are performed with high dynamics and minimal ground contact. In this case, part of the kinetic energy from the eccentric motion phase is stored as a bias voltage and released again during the contraction phase.
