Description

The Bars for Everything That Happens on the Floor

Low Parallettes lift you 33.5 cm off the floor. That doesn't sound like much, but it changes a lot: in the L-sit your heels stop dragging, in the push-up your chest drops below hand level, and your wrists stay neutral instead of bent back. That is exactly what low bars are built for – more range in the movement, less pressure on the joint.

Tuck sit, L-sit, V-sit, straddle sit & hold, shoulder stand, the first planche progressions, deep push-ups, handstand push-ups: that is the program the height and the shape are made for. And you always get both bars – a single one makes no sense for these exercises, so we only sell them as a pair.

One Bent Tube, Welded, Not a Single Screw

Each bar is one continuously bent round tube – welded onto a flat rectangular rail that rests on the floor along its full length. No bolted joint that works itself loose over time. Nothing you have to check before training. When your weight shifts forward as you move into the handstand, the frame doesn't give – nothing flexes, nothing creaks.

The grip is bare, powder-coated steel tube with a 3.5 cm diameter, without padding. Unfamiliar if you are used to foam – in exchange nothing turns under your hand and you feel exactly where the bar is. With a bit of chalk you get the grip you need for long holds. There is nothing here to put together: open the box, take out both bars, go.

The height decides, not the quality. L-sits, planche progressions and handstand push-ups need to be close to the floor – that is what these Low Parallettes are built for. If you want dips, leg raises and bodyweight rows, take the Parallettes. Many end up with both – start where your training is today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get one bar or two?
Two. We sell the Low Parallettes as a pair only, both are in the same box.
Do I have to assemble anything?
No. Tube and base rail are welded at the factory, there is not a single screw. Lift them out of the box and train.
Will they hold my bodyweight?
Yes, with reserve. A continuous steel tube on a welded base rail takes your bodyweight plus momentum without any trouble – even if you land a bit messy coming out of a handstand.
Do the bars slide on smooth floors?
The flat rail rests along its full length, which already gives good hold. On tiles or oiled parquet you are still better off with a mat underneath.
The grip is bare steel – is that uncomfortable?
Unfamiliar at first if you have had padding on your grips so far. In exchange nothing turns under your hand, and with a bit of chalk you keep clean contact even in a long hold. After a few sessions you stop thinking about it.
Low or high parallettes – which one fits me?
The exercise decides. Everything that needs to be close to the floor – L-sits, planche progressions, handstand push-ups – runs on the Low Parallettes. For dips, leg raises and bodyweight rows you need room underneath, and that is where the high parallettes with their 73 cm come in.

Customer reviews

I practiced the L-sit on the floor for a long time and wondered why nothing was moving – your heels simply drag. With the Low Parallettes I suddenly had room, and the first clean L-sit came a few weeks later. What I like about this pair: one piece of bent steel, welded, no screws. Put them down, get on, train – that is all it takes.
