Description
73 cm of Room Below – That Is the Whole Point
These Parallettes stand 73 cm high. That is the entire point: on dips your shoulders drop below the grips and you pull the full range – you tuck your legs while doing it, the same as on any low dip station. For leg raises and L-sits the height is enough to keep your heels in the air instead of dragging them across the floor.
On top of that comes everything that happens between the bars: knee raises, bodyweight rows under the frame, tuck holds, push-up variations with plenty of travel. Most people buy them as dip bars – if you only use them for that, you give away half of it. For a home gym without a fixed dip station the two bars replace a whole machine – set up when you need them, put away when the room should be a room again. You always get both: Parallettes come as a pair only.
Yellow Round Tube, Bolted, Flat in the Box
Each bar is made of powder-coated round tube in yellow. The frame legs slot into the upright tubes, the uprights sit on the foot tubes – both visibly bolted. That is exactly why the pair ships flat in the box (70 × 64 × 10 cm) instead of bulky, and you bolt it together at home in a few steps. Re-tighten the bolts once after the first sessions and you have peace.
The grip in the middle of the frame has a black cover – more comfortable than bare steel when you hang on it with your full bodyweight in the dip. The foot tubes carry black plastic caps: they protect your floor and give hold, so nothing slides away from you on the way down.

It is not the build quality that separates the two, it is the grip height. Everything with room below – dips, leg raises, rows – needs these 73 cm. If your training stays close to the floor, with L-sits, planche and handstand push-ups, the Low Parallettes are the right pair. Together they cover almost the whole bodyweight program – and you can start with either one.

For a long time I thought I needed a fixed station for clean dips. Then the Parallettes were standing in the home gym: tuck the legs, and the way down still works. What I underestimated is the rowing between the bars – I do that more often than the dips today. Bolting them together is work once, after that they simply do their job.
