The last heavy set – and what the belt does in it
Fifth set of deadlifts, the plates are stacked higher than usual. You drop into position, take your air and push your belly hard outwards – into the neoprene. That is where the effect comes from: your bracing suddenly has something solid to work against that it never has without a belt. You push outwards, the neoprene pushes back, and your back holds the position you set for it.
How well that works depends entirely on the muscles doing the pushing. If hollow holds, farmers carries and front rack holds sit in your programme, you will get considerably more out of this belt than someone who straps it on to skip exactly that work. The belt amplifies your tension – producing it stays your job. So: strap in for the heavy attempts, take it off again for the warm-up sets. That way both keep developing.
Neoprene, contoured cut, in four colours
The Neopren Weightlifting Belt measures 10 cm across and is cut wider at the back than at the front. Your lower back gets the full surface, while the front leaves you room the moment you fold into your hips – on deadlifts, on cleans from the floor, in a deep front squat. If you would rather have exactly the same counter-pressure all the way round, a straight cut serves you better. Both work. It hangs on your exercises and on what feels right to you.
It closes over velcro plus a metal slider buckle, reinforced with plastic here on top of that. The slider is the fallback: it clamps the strap end mechanically, regardless of how well the hook-and-loop happens to be gripping. You set the width steplessly instead of in fixed notches – and after the set one pull gets it open again. At around 250 grams it hardly registers in your gym bag.
There is proper colour here: lining and edging in Black, Red, Blue or Pink. On the front, a patch panel takes your patches – box logo, name, whatever belongs on yours. Neoprene gives a little under tension and moulds itself to your waist after a few sessions.
Which size fits you?
The tape goes around your waist at navel height, stomach drawn in. Forget the number on your jeans, that waistband normally rides lower than the point you need. Take your figure into the table:
| Size | Waist circumference (navel height, stomach drawn in) |
|---|---|
| XS | 71–85 cm |
| S | 82–90 cm |
| M | 90–98 cm |
| L | 98–108 cm |
If your measurement falls into two ranges at once, decide for the smaller size. A belt that closes further than planned is no problem – one that is at its limit and still sits loose very much is.
Straight with you: four steps is a coarse grid. XS alone spans 14 centimetres, and at the bottom the line only starts at 71 cm. At the top it reaches 108 cm – exactly as far as the Multisport. If your measurement lands under 71 cm, or you find yourself between two ranges, the Multisport Lifting Belt gives you six finer steps from 62 cm on. Not sure about your number? Send it over and we will place you.

Customer reviews
You feel the difference on deadlifts, right as you drop into the start position: the belt is narrower at the front, so nothing digs into your hip crease, while the full width sits against your back. That is why I put it in the hands of everyone who pulls a lot off the floor. That pink and blue now hang on our rig instead of only black is the nice side effect – a belt you enjoy putting on is not one you leave in the cupboard.
