What a belt is actually good for
A support belt does not make your back strong. It gives you a wall to breathe against. You fill your belly with air, press against the belt from the inside, and that intra-abdominal pressure stabilises your spine. That is why you reach for it on the heavy squat, the deadlift or the clean – and not during the warm-up.
The honest flip side: a belt will not build you a core. If you have only been training for a few weeks, you learn tension better without one, otherwise you get used to support before you know what bracing feels like on its own – the active tension through your midsection. Core work stays mandatory, belt or no belt. The belt gets interesting once your technique holds up and the weights climb.
The belt for sessions with lots of exercises
The Multisport Lifting Belt is made from neoprene and closes with a large velcro panel plus a metal slider. In practice that means: you pop it open with one pull after the heavy set, do your pull-ups, and cinch it back down before the next squat. Infinitely adjustable, no hunting for the right hole. And neoprene breathes with you instead of cutting off your air by the third set.
The slider is more than decoration – it is the second lock. Velcro on its own can start to creep under load, especially once sweat and chalk are in play. The double-bar slider holds the width you set, even if the velcro gives. That is the difference to a pure velcro belt.
On top of that comes the straight cut: 10 cm wide the whole way round. Contoured belts are wide at the back and narrow at the front. That leaves more room when you hinge forward, but it shifts the pressure into your back. The Multisport gives you the same counter-pressure at the front, the sides and the back – and the front is exactly the surface you breathe against when you brace. The outside carries a velcro panel for your patches, plus the "cross equip" and "built to max your limits" print. Available in black.
Which size fits you?
Measure your waist circumference at navel height, with your stomach drawn in – do not use your trouser size, that one usually sits lower. Then find your range in the table:
| Size | Waist circumference at navel height |
|---|---|
| XS | 62–68 cm |
| S | 69–75 cm |
| M | 76–85 cm |
| L | 86–94 cm |
| XL | 95–102 cm |
| 2XL | 103–108 cm |
Between two sizes, take the smaller one. The velcro gives you room upwards, but none downwards.
Six sizes is more than any other belt line we carry – and the steps are correspondingly fine. Six to nine centimetres per size means you land between two ranges less often. The line covers 62 to 108 cm and therefore starts narrower than any other belt we carry – if a slim waist usually leaves you stuck between two sizes, this one begins a step earlier. Not sure where you land? Send us your measurement and we will tell you which size people with that circumference take in our gym.

Customer reviews
The Multisport is the belt most people in our gym train in – simply because a session rarely consists of one exercise. Open, pull-ups, closed, next set. With a prong buckle you would not keep that up for three rounds. And I rarely have to think about the size – six steps cover pretty much everyone who walks through our door.
