Where the pieces come from
Nothing broken and nothing anonymous ends up in the outlet. Every piece has a short story — and it's right there on the page:
- Returns — ordered, unpacked, sent back. Often barely touched.
- Showroom pieces — stood on display, handled and tried out.
- Event equipment — ran through one competition and came back to the warehouse.
- Samples & one-offs — pieces we imported for testing.
Technically it's all top-notch. It's just no longer factory-new — and that's exactly what we write down instead of retouching it away. Substance over surface: a rack with a scratch holds your deadlift just as well as one without.
Buying used — of all things, gym equipment?
With electronics, the tech ages from the inside. Not a rack — that's steel. It carries the same load and stands just as stable, scratch or no scratch. Our bumper plates survive 15,000 drops in testing; a few months in the showroom don't change that. The wear is cosmetic, not functional.
And the price? You get the same material as new — just reduced. So your budget stretches to the piece you actually want, instead of a compromise one size smaller. Better bought used once than bought new twice.
What we check before a piece goes online
We take this work off your hands — so you're not buying on a hunch. Every piece goes through the same four steps:
- Checked — function, stability, every moving part.
- Measured — dimensions, weight, load rating. The facts are in the listing.
- Photographed — the exact piece that arrives at your door. No catalogue image.
- Described — which scratch, which mark, from where. And why it's reduced.
No sugar-coating, no fine print. What you see on the page is the condition you get.
No returns, no warranty — and why that's still fair
Let's say it straight: outlet pieces come with no returns and no warranty.
Sounds like a catch. It's the flip side of being open. You see everything up front — condition, reason for the reduction, real photo — and you get exactly that item at exactly that price.
On top of that: each piece usually exists only once. Once it's gone, it's gone. No tactic — that's simply how used goods work.
How to read an outlet page in ten seconds
So no one mistakes used goods for new, we mark every outlet piece twice — above the title and in the condition box. Missing it is practically impossible. Here's what it looks like live:

The scale has four levels — honestly assigned, including at the low end:
