Simple design, built to last decades

Concept2 has been building these machines in Vermont for over 40 years. The construction is simple and robust – few parts, little wear, minimal maintenance. If something does break: spare parts are available and easy to replace yourself. The machine separates into two pieces and stores upright – perfect for home gyms with limited space. The PM5 monitor syncs via Bluetooth with apps like ErgData or Zwift. A machine you buy once and use for decades.

Does the RowErg need a lot of maintenance?

Barely. Occasionally oil the chain with a few drops, that's it. The only regular task: changing the batteries in the monitor (2x D batteries). Otherwise, the machine just runs.

How do I adjust the resistance?

The damper on the side controls airflow (level 1-10). But here's the thing: the actual resistance comes from you. The harder you pull, the more you get back. Most people train between level 3-5.

How much space do I need?

Assembled, about 2.5 x 1.2 meters. The machine separates into two pieces and stores upright – then it's only 63 x 83 cm.

Which apps work with the PM5?

ErgData (free from Concept2), Zwift, Kinomap, and many more. Connect via Bluetooth, done. Your data is automatically saved.

Is the RowErg suitable for rehab?

Absolutely. The movement is smooth and easy on the joints. That's why you'll find this machine in many rehab clinics and physio practices.
