Your home gym – built with a system
A good home gym is more than a rack in the corner. It's a thought-through setup that fits your training, your space and your budget. The question is never what's biggest, but what you actually need.
We think in terms of training, not the catalogue. A rack, a bench, a barbell with plates – that covers most of it. A cable machine, kettlebells, rings and the right flooring come later, as your training grows. That way you build up instead of cobbling together.
What belongs in a home gym?
The core: a stable base for pressing, pulling and squatting. A wall-mounted rack or squat stand saves space; a power rack gives maximum safety for heavy sets on your own. Add an adjustable bench and an olympic barbell with bumper plates.
From there your gym grows: dumbbells and kettlebells for variety, a cable machine for joint-friendly isolation, rings and a pull-up bar for bodyweight work. And rubber flooring that protects your floor and your neighbours. We'll tell you honestly where to start.
Buy once, buy right
Ideally you buy home-gym equipment once. That's why substance beats surface: solid racks, barbells with clean knurling, bumper plates that take thousands of drops. We run the same equipment daily in our own box.
And because your training changes, everything is designed to be modular – you add attachments, plates or a power station instead of buying new. Your gym grows with you.
Frequently asked questions about home gyms
What do I need for a home gym?
To get started, a rack or squat stand, an adjustable bench and a barbell with bumper plates are enough – that covers squats, presses, pulls and pull-ups. Dumbbells, kettlebells, a cable machine and flooring you add as needed.
How much space does a home gym need?
Less than you'd think. A wall-mounted rack or squat stand needs just a few square metres; what matters most is the ceiling height for overhead presses and pull-ups. Measure your space before you buy.
What does a home gym cost?
It depends on the setup. A solid starter gym of squat stand, bench, barbell and plates starts in the low four figures; a power rack with full equipment accordingly more. What matters is that the equipment lasts – then it pays off.
Rack, squat stand or power station – which fits?
A squat stand is the compact, space-saving option; a power rack gives maximum safety for heavy sets without a partner. If you want everything in one machine on little space, a power station is the choice. What fits depends on space, budget and training.
Which flooring for a home gym?
With proper care and maintenance, our furniture can last a lifetime and even be passed down through generations. To preserve the beauty and durability of your furniture, we recommend:
- Regular cleaning with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid harsh cleaning agents, as they can damage the surface.
- Protect the furniture from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent fading and cracking.
- Use coasters and placemats to protect surfaces from scratches and moisture.
In our care instructions, which you receive with your delivery, you will find detailed information and tips tailored to your specific piece of furniture.
Can I expand my home gym later?
Yes, that's exactly what our equipment is designed for. Racks can be upgraded with attachments, cable machines and lat pulldowns; plates and dumbbells you add piece by piece. You start with the core and build out modularly.
Is a home gym worth it compared to a gym membership?
If you train regularly, a home gym often pays off within one to two years – and you train with no commute, no waiting, no membership. Good equipment lasts decades and holds its value. For many, it's the best investment in their own training.
