Care

Turf is low-maintenance but not maintenance-free — and it has one drawback we would rather mention now than later.

Day to day

  • Vacuuming is the normal case. Wiping down damp works, wet cleaning does not.
  • No brushing needed. A flattened pile comes back up — wipe once in the other direction and it is there again.
  • No sand infill. The turf comes as it lies.

The drawback turf has

Turf cannot be wet-cleaned. Where hygiene matters — class space, floor work, a lot of sweat — rubber flooring has a clear advantage.

That is also the best argument for keeping turf to the sled zone instead of covering half the floor with it. A track where the pushing happens and rubber flooring for the rest: that is the split that holds up in daily operation.

Removal

Laid with tape, the track can be lifted again years later. Adhesive residue is not gone in two minutes, but it is manageable. Fully bonded, that route does not exist — which is why tape is our standard and not the budget option.
