Description

Stable on dynamic movements

This hex dumbbell is the fully rubber-coated option in our hex range. The hexagonal shape stops the dumbbell rolling away – on plank moves like renegade rows, but also when you set it down after snatches, cleans or thrusters. So you focus on the next rep, not on chasing the dumbbell. The difference to the standard hex: here the grip is rubber-coated and knurled too. It sits softer in the hand and feels nicer to hold – ideal for home gyms, studios or the PT floor, where comfort and a clean look matter.

Fully rubber-coated, built for daily use

At the core sits cast iron, fully encased in high-grade rubber. That protects your floor, dampens the set-down and makes the dumbbell last. The rubber doesn't grease, barely smells and leaves no marks. The weight is clearly marked, along with the cross equip logo – so you grab the right dumbbell even mid-session. Available from 2.5 to 50 kg in fine 2.5 kg steps, plenty of room to progress cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this hex dumbbell and the standard one?
The grip. Here it's rubber-coated and knurled – softer in the hand. The standard hex has a chromed steel grip, which many prefer for chalk training. Both share the same cast iron core and hex shape.
How does the rubber grip feel?
Comfortably grippy, without sticking. On high reps or dynamic movements like snatches you clearly notice the difference to a steel grip.
Does the rubber smell?
Barely. The rubber is low-odour, doesn't grease and leaves no marks on the floor.
Can I set them down or drop them?
Setting down is no problem – the full rubber coating protects the dumbbell and floor and dampens the impact. Hard dropping from height isn't recommended with any dumbbell.
What weights are available?
From 2.5 to 50 kg in 2.5 kg steps. So you progress in fine increments, without big jumps.
Do I need a rack?
Not necessarily – the hex shape lets you stack them on the floor. From a few pairs on, a rack is handy for order and quick access.

Customer reviews

The rubber-gripped hex is for anyone who wants a comfortable grip. The rubber grip sits softer in the hand than the steel one – you feel it on high reps. We keep both versions because both earn their place. If you like it comfortable and clean, go for this one.
