Description

Built for Olympic lifts – with rack connection

This platform is built primarily around Olympic lifts – cleans, snatches, jerks. You stand on the continuous wooden top plate (1 m × 2.5 m × 25 mm) in the centre, which gives you solid ground under your feet – no wobble, no flex on the pull or the drive. The 1.5 m of depth in front of the rack give you room for footwork on the split jerk, the push press recovery and the snatch catch, without stepping off the lift zone. The black rubber platform floors left and right are your drop zones – drop the bar after the lift and the material absorbs the impact before it travels into your floor and walls.

Bonus: squat and bench in the rack on the same dampening

What makes this variant special: the wooden top plate is extended 1 m to the back and slides between the uprights of your power rack into the rack interior. Squats, bench, overhead and rack pulls run on the same hardwood and the same dampening layer as your Olympic lifts out front. No switch from a dampened platform to bare screed the moment you step into the rack. Heavy deadlifts work too – the platform is multi-use, just with Olympic weightlifting as the primary use case.

Solid stand all the way into the rack

The rack itself stands directly on the floor and is anchored there – the extension slides between the uprights into the rack interior. Inside the rack you stand on the same hardwood as out front in the lift zone, with the full dampening layer underneath. The surrounding steel frame and corner brackets hold all layers together and give the build its final stiffness. Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included – plan for a second person, because of the weight and handling of the large layers.

Three dampening levels for three setups

We deliver the platform incl. rack zone in three thicknesses – Advanced (5 cm), Pro (7.5 cm) and Extreme (10 cm). The difference sits entirely in the lower layer: the thicker the shock-absorb pads and the middle rubber, the more energy gets buffered below, instead of travelling into your floor and walls. Rule of thumb: more rubber underneath = more dampening.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which power racks does the platform work with?
The platform isn't built for one specific rack model – it works with any standard power rack whose uprights have room next to the 100 cm wide wooden extension. The rack stands directly on the floor, the extension slides between the uprights into the rack interior – so you stand on dampened wood inside the rack instead of bare concrete. A-Line and Swiss Line from our range are the natural fit, other brands work just as well. The rack itself is anchored to the floor as usual.
1m or 1.5m in front of the rack – which variant fits me?
The 1m variant is pull-focused and built around the deadlift – narrow, but with everything you need for that. This 1.5m platform here gives you 50 cm of extra depth in front for Olympic lifts. Snatches, cleans, jerks – you have room for footwork and recovery, without stepping off the lift zone. If you mainly train deadlifts in and in front of the rack, the 1m is enough. If you do Olympic lifts regularly and still want the rack connection, the 1.5m is the one.
Do I need the rack to use this platform?
No – but if you don't have a rack or don't need the extension, the regular Lifting Platform with Dampening (1.5 m × 2.5 m, without rack extension) is the more sensible choice. This variant here is built specifically for the combination with a power rack – the whole point of the extension is the continuous, dampened stand all the way into the rack.
Which dampening level fits my setup?
The three levels only differ in dampening – build and lifting surface are identical. More rubber underneath means more noise and vibration reduction. Rule of thumb: Advanced as entry level if floor protection and some dampening are enough. Pro if you regularly pull heavy and want noticeably less racket. Extreme if you want to get the maximum out of the platform – whether because of training volume, drop frequency or the floor beneath you.
Which Olympic lifts work on this platform?
Cleans, snatches, power cleans, squat cleans, hang variations, push press, push jerk, split jerk, thrusters and all drops from shoulder height and above. The drop zones are sized for bumpers, the wood plate gives you solid ground for pull and drive, and the 1.5 m depth leaves room for footwork on catches and recovery. Through the rack connection you also get squats, bench and rack pulls on the same dampened surface. Heavy deadlifts work too, but they're not the primary use case for this variant.
Do I still need floor mats underneath?
No. The platform brings the full dampening layer with it – shock-absorb pads and middle rubber sit underneath, running continuously into the rack area. An extra mat barely adds anything and can actually make the stand less solid.
How does assembly work?
Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included. Plan enough time and ideally a second person – because of the weight and handling of the large rubber layers. Standard tools, nothing special required. The rack is set up and anchored to the floor separately – you then slide the platform extension between the uprights afterwards.
Does the platform fit in a standard garage or box?
Outer dimensions are approx. 260 cm × 255 cm. The 255 cm depth is noticeably more than the 1m variant – measure carefully beforehand. Especially if the wall behind the rack still needs room for bumper storage or similar, you'll hit the limits of a standard garage quickly.
Which plates can the drop zone handle?
Bumper plates are built for it – use those when you drop, especially on Olympic lifts from shoulder height and above. Steel plates and classic cast iron plates aren't designed for free drops in general and are clearly louder – fine for lifting and standing on, but for drops go bumpers.

Customer reviews

If you're putting in a platform with rack extension, build one with proper room for cleans and snatches too. You won't notice the extra 50 cm on the first lift – you notice it after a hundred, when you don't have to keep resetting yourself on the lift zone.
