Description

One platform for every main lift

This variant takes the lifting platform a step further: the wooden top plate is extended 1 m to the back and slides between the uprights of your power rack into the rack interior. The result – you have the full lifting surface in front for deadlifts, cleans and snatches with two drop zones on the sides, and when you step into the rack, you stand on the same continuous wooden plate. Squats, bench, overhead and rack pulls all run on the same ground as your pulls out front. No transition, no edge, no second floor.

Solid stand all the way into the rack

The rack itself stands directly on the floor and is anchored there – the extension slides between the uprights into the rack interior. What that means for you: even when you squat or bench in the rack, you stand on the same hardwood as out front on the deadlift, with the full dampening layer underneath. No switch from a dampened platform to bare screed the moment you step into the rack. The surrounding steel frame and corner brackets hold all layers together and give the build its final stiffness. Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included – plan for a second person, because of the weight and handling of the large layers.

Three dampening levels for three setups

We deliver the platform incl. rack zone in three thicknesses – Advanced (5 cm), Pro (7.5 cm) and Extreme (10 cm). The difference sits entirely in the lower layer: the thicker the shock-absorb pads and the middle rubber, the more energy gets buffered below, instead of travelling into your floor and walls. Rule of thumb: more rubber underneath = more dampening.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which power racks does the platform work with?
The platform isn't built for one specific rack model – it works with any standard power rack whose uprights have room next to the 100 cm wide wooden extension. The rack stands directly on the floor, the extension slides between the uprights into the rack interior – so you stand on dampened wood inside the rack instead of bare concrete. A-Line and Swiss Line from our range are the natural fit, other brands work just as well. The rack itself is anchored to the floor as usual.
Do I need the rack to use this platform?
No – but if you don't have a rack or don't need the extension, the regular Lifting Platform with Dampening (1 m × 2.5 m, without rack extension) is the more sensible choice. This variant here is built specifically for the combination with a power rack – the whole point of the extension is the continuous, dampened stand all the way into the rack.
Which dampening level fits my setup?
The three levels only differ in dampening – build and lifting surface are identical. More rubber underneath means more noise and vibration reduction. Rule of thumb: Advanced as entry level if floor protection and some dampening are enough. Pro if you regularly pull heavy and want noticeably less racket. Extreme if you want to get the maximum out of the platform – whether because of training volume, drop frequency or the floor beneath you.
Does the platform also work for Olympic lifting?
Yes. The front lifting surface is sized for it – wooden plate in the centre for the solid stand, drop zones on the sides for the plates. Cleans, snatches and any lift where the bar comes back to the floor from shoulder height or above all run cleanly.
Do I still need floor mats underneath?
No. The platform brings the full dampening layer with it – shock-absorb pads and middle rubber sit underneath, running continuously into the rack area. An extra mat barely adds anything and can actually make the stand less solid.
How does assembly work?
Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included. Plan enough time and ideally a second person – because of the weight and handling of the large rubber layers. Standard tools, nothing special required. The rack is set up and anchored to the floor separately – you then slide the platform extension between the uprights afterwards.
Does the platform fit in a standard garage or box?
Outer dimensions are approx. 260 cm × 205 cm. That fits most garages, basements and boxes – but measure beforehand. The 205 cm depth in particular gets underestimated easily, especially if the wall behind the rack still needs room for bumper storage or similar.
Which plates can the drop zone handle?
Bumper plates are built for it – use those when you drop. Steel plates and classic cast iron plates aren't designed for free drops in general and are clearly louder – fine for lifting and standing on, but for drops go bumpers.

Customer reviews

If you're putting in a platform anyway, build one that includes your rack. One surface for every lift – that's the move you won't want to change three years into your training.
