Description

Maximum Olympic lifting surface with rack connection

This is the largest platform in the PR family – built for athletes who train Olympic lifts seriously, and for coaches who want to stand on the platform with the athlete. You stand on the continuous wooden top plate (1 m × 3 m × 25 mm) in the centre, which gives you the full depth of the family under your feet – solid ground, no wobble, no flex on the pull or the drive. The 2 m of depth in front of the rack is the point: on the push press recovery, the split jerk and the heavy clean the full path back stays open, on the snatch catch you don't have to step back. The black rubber platform floors left and right are your drop zones – drop the bar after the lift and the material absorbs the impact before it travels into your floor and walls.

Coaching and multi-athlete sessions

With 2 m of depth in front of the rack there's room for a coach to stand on the platform with you – correcting, spotting, moving with you, without being in your way or you in theirs. Multi-athlete sessions work the same: two lifters on one platform, no collisions. This is the depth that lets you train complete movement patterns without cutting them short.

Bonus: squat and bench in the rack on the same dampening

What makes this variant special: the wooden top plate is extended 1 m to the back and slides between the uprights of your power rack into the rack interior. Squats, bench, overhead and rack pulls run on the same hardwood and the same dampening layer as your Olympic lifts out front. No switch from a dampened platform to bare screed the moment you step into the rack. The rack itself stands directly on the floor – the extension slides between the uprights, the rack stays on the ground. The surrounding steel frame and corner brackets hold all layers together. Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included – plan for at least a second person, for the Extreme variant at 485.5 kg better a third.

Three dampening levels for three setups

We deliver the platform incl. rack zone in three thicknesses – Advanced (5 cm), Pro (7.5 cm) and Extreme (10 cm). The difference sits entirely in the lower layer: the thicker the shock-absorb pads and the middle rubber, the more energy gets buffered below, instead of travelling into your floor and walls. Rule of thumb: more rubber underneath = more dampening.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which power racks does the platform work with?
The platform isn't built for one specific rack model – it works with any standard power rack whose uprights have room next to the 100 cm wide wooden extension. The rack stands directly on the floor, the extension slides between the uprights into the rack interior – so you stand on dampened wood inside the rack instead of bare concrete. A-Line and Swiss Line from our range are the natural fit, other brands work just as well. The rack itself is anchored to the floor as usual.
1m, 1.5m or 2m in front of the rack – which variant fits me?
Three depths for three use cases. The 1m variant is pull-focused and built around the deadlift – narrow, but with everything you need for that. The 1.5m is the Olympic weightlifting variant with footwork room for split jerks, snatch catches and push press recovery. The 2m here is the largest sister for serious athletes and coaches – full lifting surface for complete movement patterns including the recovery step, and room for a coach to stand on the platform with you. If you train mainly deadlifts in and in front of the rack, the 1m is enough. If you do Olympic lifts regularly, the 1.5m is the one. If you want maximum movement room or coach on the platform regularly, the 2m is the pick.
Do I need the rack to use this platform?
No – but if you don't have a rack or don't need the extension, the regular Lifting Platform with Dampening (2 m × 2.5 m, without rack extension) is the more sensible choice. This variant here is built specifically for the combination with a power rack – the whole point of the extension is the continuous, dampened stand all the way into the rack.
Which dampening level fits my setup?
The three levels only differ in dampening – build and lifting surface are identical. More rubber underneath means more noise and vibration reduction. Rule of thumb: Advanced as entry level if floor protection and some dampening are enough. Pro if you regularly pull heavy and want noticeably less racket. Extreme if you want to get the maximum out of the platform – whether because of training volume, drop frequency or the floor beneath you.
Which Olympic lifts work on this platform?
The full programme: cleans, power and squat cleans, hang variations, snatches, push press, push jerk, split jerk, thrusters, overhead squats. With 2 m of depth in front of the rack there's room for footwork, the recovery step and the rebound on heavy lifts – nothing gets cut short. Bonus: a coach can stand on the platform with you, or two athletes can work on a bar in parallel, without anyone being pushed off the lift zone. Through the rack connection you also get squats, bench and rack pulls on the same dampened surface. Heavy deadlifts work too, but they're not the primary use case.
Do I still need floor mats underneath?
No. The platform brings the full dampening layer with it – shock-absorb pads and middle rubber sit underneath, running continuously into the rack area. An extra mat barely adds anything and can actually make the stand less solid.
How does assembly work?
Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included. Plan enough time and at least a second person, for the Extreme variant at 485.5 kg better a third – because of the weight and handling of the large rubber layers. Standard tools, nothing special required. The rack is set up and anchored to the floor separately – you then slide the platform extension between the uprights afterwards.
Does the platform fit in a standard garage or box?
Outer dimensions are approx. 260 cm × 305 cm. The 305 cm of depth is a serious amount of room – it doesn't fit in every garage or basement. Measure carefully beforehand. If the wall behind the rack still needs room for bumper storage or movement space, you'll hit the limits of a standard room quickly. If space is tight, look at the 1.5m or 1m PR variant.
Which plates can the drop zone handle?
Bumper plates are built for it – use those when you drop, especially on Olympic lifts from shoulder height and above. Steel plates and classic cast iron plates aren't designed for free drops in general and are clearly louder – fine for lifting and standing on, but for drops go bumpers.

Customer reviews

If you're putting in a platform with rack extension and you have the room for it, go straight for the 2m. The moment you want to coach on the platform, or you need the full path back on heavy cleans, you feel the difference right away. My advice: measure your room honestly before you order. If the depth fits, this is the platform you won't want to change for years.
