Description

Built for Olympic weightlifting

This platform is built primarily around Olympic lifts – cleans, snatches, jerks. You stand on the wooden top plate (1 m × 1.5 m × 25 mm) in the centre, which gives you solid ground under your feet – no wobble, no flex on the pull or the drive. The extra 50 cm of depth compared to the 1m platform is the point: you have room for footwork on the split jerk, the push press recovery and the snatch catch, without stepping off the lift zone. The black rubber platform floors left and right are your drop zones – drop the bar after the lift and the material absorbs the impact before it travels into your floor and walls. Heavy deadlifts work the same way on the platform, but they're not the primary purpose here.

Three dampening levels for three setups

We deliver the platform in three thicknesses – Advanced (5 cm), Pro (7.5 cm) and Extreme (10 cm). The difference sits entirely in the lower layer: the thicker the shock-absorb pads and the more rubber layers underneath, the more energy gets buffered below, instead of travelling into the floor and walls around you. The surrounding steel frame holds the layers together and gives the platform its final stiffness. Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included – plan for a second person because of the weight and handling of the large layers.

Frequently Asked Questions

1m or 1.5m – which platform fits me?
The 1m variant is pull-focused and built around the deadlift – narrow, but with everything you need for that. The 1.5m platform here is the Olympic weightlifting variant. The extra 50 cm of depth give you the room you need for footwork – split jerks, push press recovery, snatch catches work without you stepping off the lifting zone. If you train mainly deadlifts, the 1m is enough. If you do snatches, cleans and jerks regularly, the 1.5m is the one.
Which Olympic lifts work on this platform?
Cleans, snatches, power cleans, squat cleans, hang variations, push press, push jerk, split jerk, thrusters and all drops from shoulder height and above. The drop zones are sized for bumpers, the wood plate gives you solid ground for pull and drive, and the 1.5 m depth leaves room for footwork on catches and recovery. Heavy deadlifts work too, but they're not the primary use case for this variant.
Which dampening level fits my setup?
The three levels only differ in dampening – build and lifting surface are identical. More rubber underneath means more noise and vibration reduction. Rule of thumb: Advanced as entry level if floor protection and some dampening are enough. Pro if you regularly lift heavy and want noticeably less racket. Extreme if you want to get the maximum out of the platform – whether because of training volume, drop frequency or the floor beneath you. The floor underneath is just one indicator – volume and frequency count just as much.
Do I still need floor mats underneath?
No. The platform brings the full dampening layer with it – shock-absorb pads and rubber layers sit underneath. An extra mat barely adds anything and can actually make the stand less solid. Clean floor, platform on top, done.
How does assembly work?
Self-assembly with M10 bolts, instructions included. Plan enough time and ideally a second person – because of the weight and handling of the large rubber layers. Standard tools, nothing special required.
Does the platform fit in a standard garage or box?
Outer dimensions are 260 cm × 161 cm. That fits many garages and boxes, but the 161 cm depth is noticeably more than the 1m variant – measure carefully beforehand. Especially if a rack or wall is going in front of it, you need room for the bar and some space to move around.
Which plates can the drop zone handle?
Bumper plates are built for it – use those when you drop, especially on Olympic lifts from shoulder height and above. Steel plates and classic cast iron plates aren't designed for free drops in general and are clearly louder – fine for lifting and standing on, but for drops go bumpers.

Customer reviews

If you're serious about Olympic lifts, you want those extra 50 cm of depth. You won't notice it on the first snatch – you notice it after a hundred, when you don't have to keep resetting yourself on the lifting zone. My advice: go one level thicker rather than thinner. Too much dampening has never bothered anyone, too little has.
