Description

Two disciplines, one rack – competition setup in your gym

The Powerlifting Combo Rack combines squat rack and competition bench in a single station. For powerlifting gyms, serious athletes and Boxes with competition prep, that's a real advantage: you save floor space and train both main disciplines under realistic conditions. The bench geometry is based on the IPF standard – seat height, leg angle and padding width match competition experience, although the rack itself is not officially IPF-certified. The lever system makes the difference in daily use: the J-hooks adjust in seconds without having to clear the bar. For group sessions with athletes of different heights, for competition prep with many attempts per hour – that saves noticeable time and energy.

165 kg of steel, safety and spotter platforms

Wide base feet and 165 kg machine weight keep the rack stable even on max attempts – no wobble, no tipping, no shifting. The integrated safety arms reliably catch the bar if a lift doesn't go through. Two elevated spotter platforms enable optimal spotting at eye level – spotters don't crouch but stand on an ergonomic plane. That gives you and your training partners the safety to push to the limit even without full competition infrastructure. The powder-coated steel handles daily powerlifting use. Maintenance: occasionally wipe down chalk and sweat residue, that's it.

If your focus is powerlifting – whether as a coach with athletes in competition prep, or as a serious recreational powerlifter – the Combo Rack is the logical pick. You save space, time, and get the competition geometry built in. For mixed training (CrossFit + powerlifting + Olympic lifts), a modular rack is more flexible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the rack for squats or bench only?
Yes, both disciplines work individually and together. You switch between squat setup and bench setup without rebuilding – the bench moves into position, the J-hooks adjust, done.
How does the lever system actually work?
The J-hooks are connected to the vertical column via a lever system. You flip the lever, the hooks release from the lock, you slide them to the desired height and flip the lever back. The bar can stay on the hooks during adjustment – time saved per adjustment: about 10–20 seconds compared to classic re-pinning.
Is the rack officially IPF-certified?
No. The bench is based on the IPF standard (geometry, padding width, seat height) and ideal for realistic competition training, but the rack itself is not officially IPF-certified. For actual competitions, the organizer's equipment applies.
How much space do I need for the Combo Rack?
212 cm width, 176 cm depth are the base dimensions. Plus movement space for the bar during racking and for spotters next to the rack. We recommend at least 350 × 250 cm of free training space around the rack.
Do I still need a spotter?
The integrated safety arms cover solo training and accidental missed lifts. For genuine max attempts and competition prep, we still recommend spotters – that's exactly what the two elevated platforms are for, so spotters can work ergonomically and safely.
Can I combine the rack with other cross equip products?
The Combo Rack is a standalone station, designed specifically for powerlifting. It is not part of our modular A-Line or Swiss Line system. If you need modularity, take a look at our A-Line racks instead.
How heavy is the rack to set up?
At 165 kg, the Combo Rack is a two-person job to set up. Once assembled, it stays in place – the high machine weight is also why the rack stands so stable on max attempts.

Customer reviews

If you take powerlifting seriously or coach athletes toward competition, you know: time between attempts is precious, spotters have to stand safely, and the bench geometry should match competition feel. With the lever system, you change heights in seconds – no clearing, no re-pinning. The spotter platforms lift helpers to bar-eye-level instead of forcing them into a crouch. For powerlifting setups where the rack gets daily use, the Combo Rack is exactly the right tool.
