Description
First the honest question: do you need it?
Often the answer is no. If a pair of posts stands on each side at the mounting spot, your storage component gets bolted straight between them – no extra part at all. If you order a shelf in the version for a single post, the adapters are part of the delivery. So you don't pay for them a second time. And the Kettlebell (straight) Storage Shelf in 106 cm needs none at all – on a single post just as on two. You order the Storage Adapter on its own in two situations: for the Edge – that one always needs them – and when you convert an already mounted shelf from two posts to one.
An angle bracket that replaces the second post
The adapter is an angle bracket made of steel, powder-coated black like the rest of your storage. The flat mounting plate with four holes goes onto the post. The welded-on web stands off from it, tapers towards the front and gives your shelf, over three holes, exactly the support the second post would otherwise provide. Each pack holds two adapters and four bolts with lock nuts – you don't have to source anything on top. For a shelf on a single post per side you reckon with two packs, one pair per side. The Edge is the exception: it gets by with a single pack.
