Trap Bar - The sensible alternative for your workout
Formerly a real insider tip among professionals, the trap bar in many CrossFit boxes and gyms has now become a popular inventory. For good reason, because the special bar, also known as the hex barbell, not only brings variety and new stimuli to everyday training, but also ensures a more favorable load distribution during training thanks to its hexagonal construction. This makes trap bars a must in gyms and boxes. The cross equip Trap Bar - solid, ergonomic, resilient
What is special about the Trap Bar is its generous hexagonal shape, with the athlete being inside the hexagon. The plates are as usual on the left and right side of the body. Unlike the classic barbell, the special shape shifts the axial load distribution.
While the focus of a classic barbell is either in front of or behind the spine, depending on the exercise, it is in the center when training with the Trap Bar. This has several advantages:
- Even load on the spine, muscles and joints
- Set new, unusual training stimuli for more strength and muscle growth
- Trap bars can be used flexibly for different exercises
- Additional stability ensures safe execution during many exercisescross equip Trap Bar - key points:
- Weight: 20 kg
- Length: 160 cm
- Handle diameter: 28 mm
- Diameter of the recordings: 50 mm
- Max. Load capacity: 320 kgIdeal for deadlift training
Another special feature of our 20-kilogram trap bar are the handles with a non-slip knurling. These are welded at a 90-degree angle to the course of weight absorption and enable training with a neutral grip, which is much more ergonomic for the wrists and shoulders. Another advantage is the slightly higher handle height.
Because the handles are slightly "above" the center of the training weight, athletes do not have to squat as deeply with deadlifts as with deadlifts with the classic barbell. This protects your back and helps you learn the correct deadlift technique. The alternative handle variant also allows traditional deadlifting.Variety of exercises that can be seen
The cross equip trap bar is not only perfect for deadlifts. The hex barbell is also a real alternative for other exercises such as squats, shruggs or the farmers walk. With a little skill, you can even set new stimuli for bent-over rowing exercises and even for the bench press. In the latter case, the neutral grip even protects the shoulders. It offers striking arguments for strongman training as well as for cross-fitters and amateur strength athletes. -
