Description

Precision for competition and training

The High Grade Change Plates are for everyone who takes their cleans, snatches and deadlifts seriously. With a weight tolerance of just ±10 g per plate, you train at competition level – whether Olympic lifting or powerlifting. The fine increments from 0.5 to 5 kg let you progress in clean 1-kg steps. Exactly what you need when a new PR is just half a kilo away. The colour coding follows the official IWF scheme and shows you at a glance what's on the bar – no searching, no guessing in the middle of a WOD.

Built for daily use

The metal core is wrapped in a heavy-duty rubber casing. It protects your barbell from scratches, dampens the noise when loading and unloading, and handles daily box use with ease. The 50 mm sleeve matches the Olympic standard and fits every Olympic barbell – CrossFit, Olympic lifting or powerlifting. We run these change plates in our own box, day in, day out. They take whatever you throw at them. Explore our complete Strength Training Collection to build your ideal training environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How important is the weight tolerance really?
Very important once it gets precise. On a PR attempt or in competition, every gram counts. With ±10 g per plate you know the stated weight is actually on the bar – fair conditions for powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting.
Will the change plates fit my barbell?
Yes, as long as you have an Olympic barbell. The 50 mm sleeve matches the Olympic standard and fits all common bars for CrossFit, Olympic lifting and powerlifting.
Why are the plates wrapped in rubber?
The rubber casing protects your barbell from scratches, dampens the noise when loading and unloading, and makes the plate more durable. So your gear stays good-looking longer and your bar takes less abuse.
What does the colour coding mean?
The colours follow the official IWF scheme: 0.5 kg white, 1 kg green, 1.5 kg yellow, 2 kg blue, 2.5 kg red and 5 kg white. The in-between 1.25 kg is black. That way you can tell at a glance what's on the bar.
Are the plates sold individually or in pairs?
Individually, so per piece. That lets you build exactly the increments you need – whether you're topping up a few fractional plates or grabbing the whole set.
Can I use the change plates on dumbbells?
No, the sleeve is 50 mm and built for Olympic barbells. They won't fit dumbbells with a thinner sleeve.
