Description

Order for a broad dumbbell range

Where a lot of athletes train at once, things rarely stay where they belong: dumbbells pile up on the floor, the pair you want sits three metres away, and the next person is already hunting for it. The Long Storage 3er Dumbbell Rack gives every pair a fixed address. Three shelves at 167.5 cm wide take four to five pairs of medium hex dumbbells per tier – roughly twelve to fifteen pairs across all three, from the lightest step to the heaviest, all in one spot.

For all its length the dumbbell rack stays flat: 115 cm, which keeps it under any basement ceiling. Each shelf sits at a slight angle, so picking a dumbbell up and putting it back gets easier. None of that layout is locked in: a row of holes runs the full height of the posts, spaced 10 cm apart apart. You decide how much headroom sits between the tiers – chunky 40s need more, light steps less.

Built for loaded shelves – and ready to grow

We laid this rack out for constant use: three tiers fully loaded, and after class half the range comes back at once, rarely placed gently. Posts of 50 × 50 mm steel carry that, and the powder coating asks for nothing more than a cloth at the end of the day. You don't need a wall to set it up, the rack carries itself on four base plates. If you want it fixed to the floor anyway: each base plate measures 90 × 90 mm and has four holes. The rack belongs to the Multifunctional Storage System – as your range grows, another shelf goes in or a kettlebell and plate module stands next to it. Dumbbells are not part of the set.

Take the Long version if your range spans a lot of weight steps and you need four to five pairs per tier – that takes 181.5 cm of floor width. If your setup stays more compact, the Short version with 100 cm shelves is enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many dumbbells fit on one shelf?
It comes down to the diameter of your dumbbells: a 40 kg one is far chunkier than a 12.5 kg. For medium hex dumbbells, count on four to five pairs per shelf, so twelve to fifteen pairs over three tiers. Heavy steps bring that down, light ones push it up – use the figure to plan with, not as a guarantee.
What's included in the set?
The set holds two short side posts at 115 cm plus three long dumbbell shelves at 167.5 cm. The dumbbells are not part of the set. You order those to suit your needs – as a Hex Dumbbell Set 12.5–30 kg or individually in the step you're still missing.
What's the difference to the Short version?
The shelves are longer: 167.5 cm instead of 100 cm. That puts four to five pairs on a tier instead of two to three. In exchange you need more floor space – 181.5 cm of width against 114 cm, at the same depth. If your range stays manageable, the Short version is plenty.
Can I move the shelves or expand the rack?
Both. The row of holes runs from the bottom of the post to the top, spaced 10 cm apart – you bolt the three shelves in where they suit your weight mix, and change that again later. Expanding runs through the modular Multifunctional Storage System: further shelves come out of the component range, kettlebell and plate modules stand next to it. Get in touch when you plan your setup.
Does the rack fit into a low room?
Headroom is rarely what stops this rack: 115 cm goes under any ceiling, basement included. The floor area is what counts – 181.5 cm wide by 43.5 cm deep over the posts, with the shelves at 167.5 cm. Measure it out first and add a little room for loading.
Do I have to bolt the rack down?
No. Four base plates carry the rack, and a level floor does the job. If you do want it anchored, each base plate has four holes. Otherwise just watch the loading – don't put everything heavy on one side.
Do I need special tools for assembly?
No. The posts go up, the shelves bolt on at the hole position you want – that's all there is to it. At 167.5 cm of shelf length it is noticeably easier with two people.

Customer reviews

A large dumbbell range eats space, and at some point you put a second rack next to the first because it is full. That is exactly what we wanted to avoid. Three wide levels, everything in a row, every step within reach – and when you need more, you just keep building the system. We use it ourselves in our box because it grows with us instead of getting in the way.
