Description

Order where every square metre counts

Not every box has a full wall to spare for dumbbells, and a home gym certainly doesn't. The Short Storage 3er Dumbbell Rack still gets your set in order without taking over half the room. Three short shelves at 100 cm width hold a handy range – every pair in its place, sorted and within reach.

The dumbbell rack stays low while it does that: 115 cm tall, with the shelves sitting at 22, 54 and 96 cm in the configuration shown. Even the top tier is at hip height, so you never lift a dumbbell to chest level. The shelves themselves sit at an angle, which makes getting dumbbells in and out easier. And that layout isn't fixed: the posts are drilled along their full height, with holes 10 cm apart. Chunky 30 kg dumbbells get more headroom that way, lighter steps less. Built for anyone who wants structure but has to make the space work.

Steel built for constant use – and a system behind it

We designed the rack for daily use: dumbbells that get dropped onto the shelf rather than placed after the last set, and three loaded shelves in constant rotation. Powder-coated steel takes that and wipes clean easily – chalk and sweat off, done. The rack stands free on four base plates, so you don't have to drill into the wall. Anchor it anyway if you like – every base plate has four holes. And because the rack is part of the Multifunctional Storage System, you simply add more shelves later or combine it with kettlebell and plate modules. The dumbbells in the photo are not included in the set.

Go for the Short version if your setup is compact or space stays tight – 114 cm of floor width fits almost anywhere. If your range grows across more weight steps, reach for the Long version with 167.5 cm shelves.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many dumbbells fit on one shelf?
Across 100 cm of shelf width, count on two to three pairs of medium hex dumbbells – so six to nine pairs over all three tiers. The number moves with your weight mix: a 30 kg dumbbell is far chunkier than a 10 kg one, so heavy steps leave room for fewer pairs side by side. Treat it as orientation, not a guarantee.
What's included in the set?
Two short side posts (115 cm) and three short dumbbell shelves (100 cm). The dumbbells in the photo aren't included – you order those separately, either by individual weight step or as a Hex Dumbbell Set 12.5–30 kg.
What's the difference to the Long version?
The shelves are narrower: 100 cm instead of 167.5 cm. That fits a handy range per tier rather than a broad one. On the floor you need correspondingly less space – 114 cm instead of 181.5 cm, at the same depth. The Short version is the compact solution for home gyms and small boxes, the Long version the wide one for studios with a large range.
Does the rack work for round dumbbells too?
It's designed for hex dumbbells – their hexagonal shape sits stable on the angled shelves. Round dumbbells can roll, so we don't recommend them for it.
Do I have to bolt the rack down?
No. It stands free on four base plates, and a level floor is all it needs. If you want to anchor it anyway: every base plate has four holes. Beyond that, just load it evenly.
Can I expand or combine the rack later?
Yes. The rack is part of the modular Multifunctional Storage System. Add more shelves from the component range or combine it with kettlebell and plate modules as your equipment grows. You're not locked in inside the rack either: the shelves bolt into a row of holes running the full height of the posts and move in steps of 10 cm. Get in touch – we'll help you plan it.
Does the rack fit into a small room?
On the floor, plan for 114 cm width and 43.5 cm depth – that's the outer dimension across the posts, while the shelves themselves are 100 cm wide. Add a little room for loading. Height is never the issue: at 115 cm it clears any ceiling, basement rooms included.
