Rehband Rx 7mm Knee Support - camo

Two camo models on the shelf, and both say Rehband

We carry two sleeves in green-brown woodland camo, and they get mixed up in the basket on a regular basis. One of them is this one, the Rx with 7 mm. The other is the 7751 with 5 mm. If you see the two side by side in the shop, watch out for one single detail.

The Rx has a light piping running along the curved seam, right where the black side panel meets the camo. On the 7751 that seam stays dark all the way. So: light stripe = Rx = 7 mm.

The two millimetres between them are no trifle, they are the actual buying decision. More neoprene means more push-back when you open up out of the bottom of the bend. The price for it: the higher the rep counts climb, the more you work against the material. For three heavy sets that is exactly right, for a long mixed workout it is rather too much.

Pre-shaped neoprene – and what of it counts in competition

The Rx is anatomically pre-shaped: two panels, stitched at the sides, so the sleeve follows the curve of the knee instead of throwing folds in the bend. You do not have to choose left or right, you simply grab one. The neoprene gives you compression and keeps the joint warm – most people notice that in the first warm-up set already.

On the competition question we keep it short and honest: on thickness this sleeve at 7 mm uses up what the IPF allows at most. Only thickness does not decide the matter on its own – alongside the measurements, the IPF requires the manufacturer to be on its list. Rehband is not on it. So it is not enough for an IPF start, no matter how well the 7 mm fit the rulebook. In weightlifting under the IWF the picture is different: no manufacturer list exists there at all, neoprene without buckles and reinforcements is unproblematic. And in CrossFit there is no equipment clearance whatsoever, the question simply does not come up.

One more word on the quantity, because otherwise it makes for long faces at unpacking: Rehband delivers one sleeve, not a pair. If you want both knees warm, you set the quantity to two. That goes for all four Rehband models in our range.

Your size – please measure once for real

Rehband fixes the measuring point: circumference 10 cm below the kneecap, the knee slightly bent while you do it. Not on the thigh, not across the kneecap. Then you place your number in here:

Camo comes in these four sizes only – no XS, no XXL.

If you land exactly on a boundary value – 35 cm belongs to S as much as to M – Rehband gives a recommendation of its own: if you like it tighter, take the smaller size. Below S, though, the line stops. If you measure less than 33 cm you will not find it in camo; then your way leads to the Rx in black, which we carry from XS on.

One note more, in case you are switching over from our Knee Sleeves Neopren 7mm: those we measure at the mid knee circumference with the knee bent around 20 degrees – a different spot on the leg, even if the centimetre ranges look related. So your previous size does not carry across one to one. Pick up the tape once more; if you end up without a clear range, send us your number.
