Since 2011, PhysioBase in Volketswil has combined physiotherapy with active training, at its current site since 2019. Five independent physiotherapists work here under one roof – from sports physiotherapy and manual therapy to scoliosis treatment, the practice's specialty (a member of Scoliosis Switzerland, in cooperation with the Schulthess Clinic).
The approach: therapy doesn't end on the treatment table. The focus is not only on symptoms but on the cause of the complaints – functional training to improve neuromuscular control is a key success factor for lasting therapy results. Through medical training therapy and an athletic program, the team guides patients actively and on an evidence-based path back into everyday life, work and sport. That's exactly why we set up a real training area across 100 m² of active training space – rack, plates, kettlebells and bands for controlled, safe exercises that adapt to the therapeutic routine.
Deliberately not a classic fitness-gym setup, but a calm, personal training atmosphere. Anyone who wants to keep training on their own after therapy finds the space and equipment for it – the transition from rehab to independent training stays seamless.
