Description

Incline bench for presses, decline and sit-ups

The HG Incline Bench does the job you would otherwise need two benches for. The backrest goes from 85° through flat down to −15°: steep for shoulder presses, inclined for incline presses, flat for bench presses and negative for decline presses and sit-ups. At the front, a leg holder with two foam rollers keeps your legs locked in – flat just as much as in decline. That puts your dumbbell and core training on one bench – in a home gym, a studio or a Box.

The higher-grade version of our sit-up bench

Compared with our Adjustable Situp Bench, the HG has better padding, a heavier build and a more solid stance – on an octagonal foot at the front and a cross tube with two transport wheels at the back. You lift the backrest by the knurled handle and hook it into the notch you want on the ladder. The angles are marked right next to it, so you find your setting again straight away next session. And once training is done, you stand the bench upright and get your floor space back.

If you want to do decline sit-ups or decline presses, take the HG Incline Bench – the Adjustable Situp Bench has no decline. If a bench from flat to fully upright with leg fixation is enough for you, the Adjustable Situp Bench is the lower investment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you use a sit-up bench?
Sit on the seat pad, hook your feet under the two foam rollers and lie back on the backrest. Start with the backrest flat. Once your sit-ups are clean, set it to −15° – your head is then lower and every rep gets harder.
How do you adjust a weight bench?
Lift the backrest by the knurled handle and hook it into the notch with the angle you want – the angles are marked on the ladder. For the leg holder, pull the pop-pin, slide the leg holder into position and let the pin lock back in. Before your first set, check quickly that the backrest and pin are seated properly.
Which exercises can I do on the incline bench?
Seated shoulder presses at 85°, incline dumbbell presses on the settings in between, bench presses and single arm rows flat, decline presses and decline sit-ups at −15°.
How does it differ from the Adjustable Situp Bench?
The HG Incline Bench goes down to −15° decline, has better padding and sits more solidly. The Adjustable Situp Bench, in turn, raises the backrest to 90° instead of 85°.
I need neither sit-ups nor decline – which bench fits then?
Then you don't need the leg holder. For presses and rows, have a look at the High Grade Adjustable Bench. The HG Incline Bench pays off if you want dumbbell training, decline and sit-ups on one bench.
How do I move and store the bench?
There are two transport wheels at the back. Lift the front, tip it onto the wheels and push. After training you stand the bench upright – that way it takes up much less floor space than lying flat.

Customer reviews

In a lot of home gyms there is room for one bench, not two. That's exactly why I think the HG Incline Bench makes sense: pressing, rowing, sit-ups – all on one piece of equipment. And when you don't need it, it stands upright in the corner.
