The colour tells you how hard the band pulls
With a latex free resistance band, one decision does most of the work: picking the right strength. Here you read that straight off the colour – the wider the band, the more pull. Red is the lightest at 10 mm, orange the strongest at 80 mm. In between sit black (20 mm), purple (30 mm), green (40 mm), grey (50 mm) and blue (60 mm).
Roughly speaking, the seven resistance band strengths fall into two groups. The narrow ones – red, black, purple – are your warm-up and mobility bands. Open up the shoulders, get the hips moving, start the session properly. The medium and wide ones – green, grey, blue, orange – are what you reach for when you want real tension: as a pull-up assist band on the bar, or as added resistance on squats and pulls.
Which colour suits you depends on your bodyweight and your strength. So the honest answer is: start with what you need today, and add a lighter or heavier one later. Two bands together also give you an in-between step.
One band, plenty of uses
A resistance band adds a kind of loading you don't get from bodyweight or dumbbells alone. The resistance grows as the band stretches – light at the start of the movement, clearly there at the end. That's exactly what makes it useful for banded squats, pulling work and mobility.
The classics: assisted pull-ups, so you keep training the movement until you get it unassisted. Banded squats, warm-up sets for shoulders and hips, stretching at the end of the session. A band that belongs in every box and every home gym – it takes up almost no space and still gets used constantly.
Latex free rubber that holds the pull
The band is made of high-strength, latex-free rubber. It won't tear when you pull hard on it – and on a band that carries you at the pull-up bar, that is the part that matters most.
Latex free is the second point. For athletes with a latex allergy, it's the difference between training along and watching. If you don't have an allergy, you won't notice a difference in training – latex free is an advantage for some, not a must for everyone.

Customer reviews
The most common mistake when buying a band: going too heavy. The wide one looks like more, but on a pull-up it takes so much off you that you're barely working. Better to go one step narrower and pull properly. That's why we keep several strengths hanging side by side in our box – everyone grabs what fits on the day.
