Description
Clean filling without a dust cloud
Anyone who has ever filled a sandbag with ordinary builder's sand knows the drill: dust everywhere. This sand is washed, with a grain up to 4 mm. That means less fine dust, less mess and an even pour into the shell. 25 kg per sack – a match for the Sandbag, the Competition Sandbag and the Strongman Sandbag.
Why washed makes the difference
Washed is about more than less dust. The sand pours evenly and packs the shell nice and tight, instead of hanging up in pockets. With the fines washed out, filling doesn't put a cloud in the room – you fill it, seal it, train. And with sand your bag gets to its full rated weight.
How many sacks you need
One sack is 25 kg. Divide your target weight by 25 and round up – that's the whole calculation. We've done it for our bags below. Target weight here means the weight you fill the bag to with sand.

Two rows catch most people out: the Sandbag 30 and the Competition Sandbag 30 kg need two sacks, not one. With a single sack you land at 25 kg – and that's a perfectly normal training weight. You only need to hit the exact number in the name when you're prepping for a competition.
Whatever is left over goes back into the sack, sealed and stored dry. Then it pours just as cleanly next time.
