The belt for your first go
A support belt lifts nothing for you, it holds against you. Your abdominal muscles push outwards, the belt gives that force a surface to meet – the pressure stays inside your midsection, and your spine sits more stable for it. That matters on the sets you have to sort yourself out for beforehand. For warming up you do not need it.
What it cannot do: hand you core strength. You still build that without it – the belt takes nothing off that job, it comes on top.
And that is exactly what this one is here for. Not sure yet whether you want to train with a belt at all? Then find out here, without tying yourself to neoprene or leather straight away. What we mean is your first belt, not your first year of training – while the technique is still growing, you learn bracing more cleanly without one.
Nylon, contoured, four sizes
The webbing is nylon, the cut contoured: wide at the back, narrow at the front. So you keep room when you hinge forward, while the full surface sits against your back. The closure is a metal slider plus velcro – you set the width exactly where you want it, no holes and no notches involved. One pull on the velcro opens it again. It comes in black, in four sizes from XS to L. On top of that it is very light – you take it along without giving it much thought.
Honest comparison: closure principle and cut sit close to the Neopren Weightlifting Belt. That one adds 10 cm of neoprene, four colours and a velcro panel for patches. And if you want a finer choice of size, or your waist measures under 74 cm, the Multisport Lifting Belt with six steps from 62 cm is the more precise line.
For the size, measure your waist circumference at navel height, stomach drawn in – with a tape measure, not off your trouser label. Take your figure into the table:
| Size | Waist circumference (navel height, stomach drawn in) |
|---|---|
| XS | 74–85 cm |
| S | 85–93 cm |
| M | 93–102 cm |
| L | 102–108 cm |
Between two sizes, take the smaller one.

Customer reviews
This is the belt people in our gym reach for when they want to try one for the first time. It is light, ready to go, nothing to break in. Honestly, plenty of them end up on neoprene or leather afterwards – one wants four colours, the next a size that fits more exactly, the third a leather belt that hardly gives. And that is completely fine. That is what it is here for: finding out whether you want to train with a belt, before you decide.
