Description

Four loops, four thicknesses – 0.3 to 1.0 mm

This set is the full range of our latex Mini Bands: yellow at 0.3 mm, green at 0.5 mm, blue at 0.8 mm and red at 1.0 mm. The thicker the band, the more pull – you read the order straight off the thickness. On top of that, every band has its resistance printed on it, along with our logo.

All four are closed loops with a 30 cm diameter. That puts them where mini bands belong: around your thighs, above your knees, around your ankles or around your wrists.

The resistance grows with the stretch. At the start of the movement you feel little, at the end noticeably more – and that's exactly what makes these bands so usable for activation work.

Which band you use for what

Yellow is the light step, green the medium one. You take yellow for the warm-up, for shoulder work and everything meant to activate rather than fatigue. Green is the step most people work with on hips and glutes on the floor: glute bridges, clamshells, fire hydrants.

Blue and red are the strong ones. Blue comes into play when green gets too light – Monster Walks, lateral walks, knee stability. Red is the step for added resistance, for example above the knees during squats, or for athletes who have been working with bands for a while.

That's orientation, not a rule. Most people end up using two bands regularly – the other two lie ready for the warm-up and for the days when more is in there.

For everyone who wants to work their way up

A single mini band is enough as long as the same person always does the same exercise. As soon as you get stronger, that step is eventually too light – and you reorder. With the set you simply grab the next band instead.

Same story in a home gym with several people, or in personal training: two people rarely need the same step. Four bands at once is the easier route here than four separate orders.

All four together weigh next to nothing and fit in the side pocket of your gym bag. If you drive out to your athletes or travel a lot, you've got every step with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which four thicknesses are in the set?
Yellow (0.3 mm), green (0.5 mm), blue (0.8 mm) and red (1.0 mm). The thickness is the resistance: yellow pulls the lightest, red the strongest. Each band also has its step printed on it.
Which band do I take for glute activation?
Most people land on green. For floor exercises like glute bridges or clamshells that works well. When it gets too light, you move to blue. For standing Monster Walks many go straight to blue or red.
Why does green mean something different here than in the latex-free set?
The latex-free set has five steps: the same four thicknesses plus black at 1.2 mm on top. Because one more band comes in, the names slide down one position – which is why green is called "Light" there and "Medium" here, at an identical 0.5 mm. So to compare, go by the millimeters, not the printed label.
Can I do assisted pull-ups with it?
No, mini bands at 30 cm diameter are too short for that. For pull-up assistance you need a long Resistance Band.
How long do the bands last?
That depends on use and storage. Latex doesn't like direct sunlight, heat or sharp edges – so don't leave it lying in a hot car. When you see cracks or porous spots, the band is done.
Do the bands roll up on the thigh?
On very dynamic movements it can happen, that's down to the material. If that bothers you, the Stoff Mini Bands Set is the calmer choice – those stay flat.

Customer reviews

Almost everyone picks their first mini band one step too light – and notices after three weeks. Then comes the reorder, and another one two months later. With the set the question never comes up: when green gets too light, you take blue. At our place all four sit in the box next to the rig, and they're in use every day in the warm-ups.
