In a garage in Reichenburg SZ stands a home gym that has grown over the years. The first pieces arrived back in 2021 – an adjustable bench and a few square metres of rubber flooring. That was all it took to get going.

It became a proper training room in 2023. After a knee injury, Kevin was looking for a machine for tibialis raises to support his rehab and found it with us. From then on he stayed: first kettlebells and the storage system, then in 2024 the CPR-150 power rack with safety arms, lever arms and landmine, plus a cable machine with weight stack. The A-Line Smith attachment followed in spring 2026.

The biggest challenge wasn't the equipment, it was the space. Kevin worked through several layouts on his iPad until the arrangement was right. Today up to five people train together on 40 m² – and that is the whole point: the home gym has turned into a fixed training night with friends, and his wife trains there too.

Why cross equip?

For my knee rehab I was looking for a machine for tib raises. cross equip was one of the few Swiss shops that had one – and convinced me from the start with quality and service.

Biggest challenge?

The layout. I sketched a lot on my iPad and worked through several versions until the arrangement felt right.

What's happened since?

It has grown steadily. It started with a basic squat rack, a barbell and a few bumper plates – today there's a squat rack with Smith attachment, a cable machine with weight stack, turf and a weight sled. The walls have been panelled and mirrors put up too.

Favourite part of the setup?

The whole room — The squat rack combo with the Smith attachment and the cable machine are part of every session.
